This Privacy Notice explains how Silve Hotel Kft. (hereinafter: Hotel or Controller) processes the personal data of its guests, website visitors, and business partners in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the applicable Hungarian laws.

The Hotel is responsible for the lawful processing and protection of personal data.
2. Applicable legislation
Data processing is carried out in particular on the basis of: – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) – Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self‑Determination and Freedom of Information (Info Act) – Act CLVI of 2016 on State Tasks for the Development of Tourist Areas (VIZA system) – Act C of 2000 on Accounting – Act CXVII of 1995 on Personal Income Tax – Relevant provisions of the Hungarian Civil Code
3. Scope of processed personal data
Depending on the service used, the Hotel may process the following categories of personal data:
- name
- birth name
- date and place of birth
- nationality
- mother’s name
- identity document number (ID card/passport/driver’s license)
- address
- e‑mail address
- phone number
- vehicle registration number
- arrival and departure date
- payment information (limited to transaction confirmation, never full card data)
- billing name and address
- signature (guest registration form)
- CCTV recordings (if camera system is installed)
The Hotel does not store full bank card numbers.
4. Purposes and legal basis of data processing
4.1 Accommodation booking and guest registration
Purpose: providing accommodation services and guest identification
Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c))
Data may be collected via: – in‑person booking – phone – e‑mail – the Hotel’s website – online booking platforms – if applicable
4.2 VIZA (National Tourism Data Service Center – NTAK)
Hungarian law requires accommodation providers to record guest identification data via a document scanner and transmit it to the closed VIZA system.
Legal basis: legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c))
The Hotel cannot provide accommodation services without recording the legally required identification data.
4.3 Invoicing and accounting
Purpose: issuing invoices and fulfilling tax and accounting obligations
Legal basis: legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c))
Issued invoices are retained for 5 years pursuant to accounting legislation.
Billing data: – name – address – tax number (for companies)
The Hotel uses the following invoicing provider: NAV online számla
4.4 Contact and customer communication
Purpose: responding to inquiries, sending booking confirmations and guest communication
Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) or legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
4.5 Newsletter (only if subscribed)
Purpose: sending promotional offers and news
Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a))
Guests may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link or by e‑mail. Withdrawal of consent does not affect prior lawful processing.
4.6 CCTV camera system (if installed)
Purpose: protection of property and persons
Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
Camera surveillance areas are marked with pictograms.
Retention period of recordings: 3 days, unless required for official proceedings.
Recordings may be accessed only by the Hotel management or authorities in official procedures.
5. Data processors
The Hotel uses data processors who process personal data on its behalf under written contracts, including:
- booking platforms
- IT service providers and hosting providers
- invoicing software provider
- accounting service provider
- website maintenance provider
Processors may process data only according to the Hotel’s instructions and in compliance with GDPR.

Data subjects may request from the Hotel: – access to personal data – rectification – erasure (“right to be forgotten”) – restriction of processing – data portability – objection to processing

The Hotel applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, in particular: – restricted access systems – password protection – secure IT infrastructure – locked storage of paper documents – employee confidentiality obligations

The Hotel does not perform automated decision‑making or profiling based on personal data.
13. Modification of this notice
The Hotel reserves the right to amend this Privacy Notice. The current version is always available at the reception and on the website.
